1. Different concepts
Pickled plate is a hot-rolled plate that has been subjected to processes such as dephosphorization (removing rust, residues, etc. generated during hot rolling) and pickled on the surface to obtain a steel plate with better surface performance than hot-rolled plate. Cold-rolled plate is a steel plate rolled at room temperature on a cold-rolled substrate (i.e., hot-rolled plate). Due to the large stress of cold rolling, it generally undergoes an annealing process.
2. Different production processes
Pickled plate is an intermediate product between hot-rolled plate and cold-rolled plate, which is made of high-quality hot-rolled thin plate, and after the pickling unit removes the oxide layer, trims, and finishes, the surface quality and use requirements (mainly cold bending or stamping performance) are met. Generally speaking,
cold-rolled steel plates have better strength, and cold rolling is rolled at room temperature.
3. Different uses
Pickled plate is a developing steel variety. Cold-rolled steel sheets have good surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. In addition, their mechanical properties and process properties after annealing are better than those of hot-rolled thin steel sheets. In many fields, especially in the field of home appliance manufacturing, they have gradually replaced hot-rolled thin steel sheets.
