What materials are commonly used for metal stamping parts?

Today I would like to share with you the commonly used materials for metal stamping parts:
1. Cold rolled steel plate:
1. Definition: Cold rolling is made from hot-rolled coils as raw materials, which are rolled at room temperature and below the recrystallization temperature. Cold-rolled steel plates are steel plates produced through the cold rolling process, referred to as cold plates. The thickness of cold-rolled plates is generally between 0.1--8.0mm. The thickness of cold-rolled steel plates produced by most factories is less than 4.5mm. The thickness and width of cold-rolled plates are determined according to the equipment capabilities of each factory and market demand.

2. Classification:

SPCC---S stands for Steel, P stands for Plate, C stands for Cold, and C stands for Commercial, which is the Japanese JIS standard.

SPCD---represents cold-rolled carbon steel sheets and strips for stamping, equivalent to China's 08AL (13237) high-quality carbon structural steel.

SPCE---represents cold-rolled carbon steel sheets and strips for deep drawing, equivalent to China's 08AL (5213) deep drawing steel.

2. Galvanized steel plate

1. Definition: Galvanized steel plate is a welded steel plate with a hot-dip or electroplated zinc layer on the surface.

2. Classification:

Electro-galvanized steel plate (SECC): Uniform gray, mainly imported, resistant to fingerprints, has excellent corrosion resistance, and maintains the processability of cold-rolled plates. Usage: Home appliances, computer case casings and some door panels and panels.

Hot-dip galvanized steel plate (SGCC): dip-plated, bright white, small zinc flowers (hard to see), large zinc flowers can clearly see the hexagonal flowers. There are only two factories in China, China Steel and Shengyu Steel Corporation in Taiwan Province, that can produce it. There is no steel factory in mainland China that can produce high-quality materials, and they mainly rely on imports.

3. Main characteristics: corrosion resistance, paintability, formability and spot weldability. It is extremely versatile and is mainly used for parts of small household appliances that require good appearance. However, it is more expensive than SECC, so many manufacturers switch to SECC to save costs.
